Sinusitis is almost always preceded by rhinitis, the common cold. Hundreds of cold viruses provoke symptoms of runny nose, sneezing, sore throats and coughing in people. Rhinitis is usually afebrile, of limited duration and antibiotics are of no value in its treatment.

TMJ is composed of a small disc of cartilage cushioned between the mandibular condyle (at the upper end of the jawbone) and the temporal bone of the skull. Temporo-Mandibular Joint Disorders JMJD (also known as TMJ or TMD) describe a variety of conditions that cause pain and dysfunction of the jaw joint. These include the muscles of the jaw or related muscles and nerves in the head and neck area.
